Quick post as I haven’t posted in a little while – though I have been busy, check my new Instagram feed in the right hand sidebar – not the best image, but I did box off some generic city guards I wanted to do:

They’re a little a-historical – the minis are Forged in Battle Lykian Infantry, so I think the red ‘greaves’ are meant to be socks, and I’ve painted trousers instead of skin, but I just went for the rule-of-cool. I couldn’t find a ‘matching’ archer, so they’ll have to do without.

These chaps will guard my castle walls in small scenarios, or patrol the narrow streets of a dusty desert town.
