Blades and Blasters

Miniature projects in many scales and periods, and likely a few digressions.

E-Star Luxury Protected Liner - travel in comfort and safety. A quick one for #abillionsuns - sure it’ll come in use for the contracts #starwarsarmada #fullthrustgame #spaceships
Ok! Fighters in the printer, we’re on the way! #abillionsuns
Think I’m going to give #abillionsuns a good go but in microfleet scale with 1cm if ship roughly = 1 mass. Each board will be 30cm square. That’s a 20mm base it’s attached too for ref. Will design my own too but this is from the excellent #steelandstars range on wargames vault. #battlefleetgothic #fullthrust #starwarsarmada
Practicing a grimy no-highlight technique using zenithal prime, block colours, very light bursts from the airbrush and oil filtering then selective cleanup. It’s pretty good and easier to see than photograph #heroforgeminis #inq28 #strontiumdog
Not sure if I ever posted much on these. In a total different direction to my other stuff I’ve got this slow burn pulp sci fi project, all painted toy soldier style. With LOADS of gloss layers. I love them, though I’m sure not for everyone. I’ve started a Star Trek inspired group, all produced on @heroforgeminis and remembered I had some excellent rock files to print that will suit. Feeling reenergised on these at the mo #oldhammer #pulpfigures #pulpscifi #awayteam #oldhammer40k
Not sure if I’ve posted this before but I absolutely love concept art - I buy ‘The Art of...’ books religiously - and one of my favourites is the Rage 2 book. It’s a great setting - like all postapoc, it’s all about the pre-apoc: and rage 2’s is clearly very hightech, Cyberpunk-y. So much brilliant stuff in this book.
